Registration
Online registration for Children's Faith Formation is available at this link.
A registration fee of $60 per family is charged for Children's Faith Formation materials, which can be submitted as cash or check. Scholarships are available to cover the registration fee; contact Marissa Miranda if you need one.
Sacramental Preparation
Sacramental Preparation is provided in conjunction with the Children's Faith Formation and Youth Ministry programs. Typically two years of faith formation is expected prior to receiving a sacrament. Our program is structured so that most students receive First Reconciliation and Communion at the end of second grade and Confirmation at the end of tenth grade.
If your child requires sacraments outside of those timelines, contact Marissa Miranda (grades K-5).
Accommodations
All children deserve Faith Formation experiences. At St. Matthews, we believe that every Catholic deserves to grow their faith and receive the sacraments. That process does not necessarily look the same for every child.
If your child has cognitive, emotional, or behavioral challenges, accommodations can be provided to make Faith Formation accessible for them. Possible accommodations include:
Our Children's Faith Formation Coordinator Marissa Miranda is an experienced Special Education teacher and will work with you to ensure your child is able to take part in Faith Formation to the best of their ability. Please contact Marissa Miranda with questions and/or to arrange accommodations.
