St. Matthew is a Stewardship Parish. This means we understand all that we have gifts from God including our Time, Talents and Treasure. As caretakers (stewards) of these gifts, we return to Him a portion of what He has given us in gratitude for all He has given.
Stewardship encompasses much more than the generation of revenue. It is that call to each of us to support our parish in all ways possible. Stewardship draws upon the talents, expertise, and hard work of parishioners.
Stewardship is not only a way to give back to the parish, but also is the best way to become involved, to meet people, and to feel a part of our Catholic community in the Diocese of St. Petersburg.
St. Matthew’s Parish encourages all of its members to make a commitment to be actively involved in the parish through all three of the following:
- Attending Mass - Please join all of us in your parish family on weekends and holy days as we gather together, sing God’s praises, listen to His Word, and celebrate the Eucharist.
- Giving Financial Support – Sign up for electronic on-line giving or use weekly offertory envelopes.
- Offering Time and Talentas service to the parish community through one of our parish ministries or organizations.
